Accused killer found in Miss.

Mississippi authorities have in custody a man facing murder charges in Roane County for the death of a young woman last October.

Shawn Smoot was indicted this month by a Roane County grand jury in the death of 23-year-old Brooke Morris and failed to appear for his arraignment on Monday, June 25.

Morris’ remains were found in October at Blair Road and Old Blair Road.

Police knew he was in Mississippi and located him about 10 p.m. Tuesday night, when he was apprehended by U.S. Marshals and Pearl River County sheriff’s deputies.
