Courses include OSHA safety certification, computer skills, basic lean manufacturing, basic machining and measuring, basic plumbing and basic computer-aided drafting and design.

AMTEC participants also receive specialized instruction in composites and solar energy technologies.

The training program is valued at $4,000-$5,000.

Roane State’s AMTEC program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor/ETA/OGCM.
