Roane County Anti-Drug Coalition was awarded a two-year grant to benefit at-risk groups through the East Tennessee Foundation’s 2012 Youth Endowment Grants Program.
The $5,000 grant will go toward creating youth-led public-service announcements written, produced and directed by middle and high school students to increase awareness of and reduce the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
The grant is among the $258,500 in funds given to East Tennessee nonprofit organizations whose programs and projects are helping at-risk youth.
