Armes keeps Coalfield's all-state tradition alive

William Armes kept the all-state streak alive for the Coalfield football team. Armes was recently selected to the 2007 Tennessee Sports Writers Association Class A All-State Team as a defensive end making it the fourth straight year at least one Coalfield player has earned all-state honors on the football field.

Armes became a two-time all-state performer after registering 88 tackles, including 20 behind the line, and three fumble recoveries.
