Auction of two elementaries set to proceed

Roane County Commission cleared the way for the school system to auction Walnut Hill and Dyllis elementary schools. A resolution passed on Oct. 15 granted the system any of the county government’s interest in the properties.
“The Roane County Commission authorizes the Roane County executive to execute any contract or deed to insure this transfer of interest either to the Roane County Schools or a new owner, if sold by the Roane County school system,” the commission resolution said.
