Big winds blow through Roane

Severe storms that blew through East Tennessee overnight Wednesday knocked trees and left many people without power around Roane County.

For many, the storm only caused a little inconvenience.

It was a bit more for Ken Beachamp of Newport Way in Kingston.

On Thursday morning, crews were cutting away a large tree that had fallen on his garage overnight, and he was waiting for someone else to come put a big tarp over the hole.
