Board looks to trim $500,000 from budget

Director of Morgan County Schools Mike Davis didn’t have a whole lot of good news for members of the Morgan County School Board during Monday night’s budget workshop.

Davis said that as projections stand now a half million dollars needs to be cut from the 2008-09 school budget.

Davis listed several places where cuts can be made without affecting the classroom but said even if all those items are cut there will still be almost $200,000 remaining to be trimmed.
