Sometimes a week off can pay off with big dividends.
That was the case this past week for the Oliver Springs Bobcats as after a bye week, Wiley Brackett’s squad rolled into Jellico and thrashed the Blue Devils, 55-6.
“It helped us out,” Brackett said of the bye week. “We’ve had a lot of injuries and the week off helped get some kids healthy. We also got to work on the fundamentals in the off week. It’s always a good thing when you can get back to the basics of blocking and tackling.”
