Two men in ski masks kicked in a door and roughed up the three occupants of a Harriman apartment early Wednesday.
Ron Allen Arwood, 24, of Harriman, and Brady Alan Capps, 27, were charged with especially aggravated burglary and robbery, while a third, Joseph Franklin Capps III, 24, was charged with especially aggravated burglary, robbery and criminal impersonation.
“They were looking for money,” Harriman Police Chief Randy Heidle said.
Heidle said the occupants were able to fight back, and the masked men, believed to be Joseph Capps and Arwood. left with no loot.
Brady Capps is believed to be the driver.
The victims were treated at the scene and recommended to go to the hospital for further treatment the next day, Heidle said.
The three men were arrested for the home invasion at 617 Russell Street Apt D after responding officer Lt. Baron Tapp stopped the vehicle they were in leaving a nearby alley.
In addition to appearing nervous and out of breath, two of the men, Arwood and Joseph Clapp, also had blood on their pants, Heidle said.
All three had stories that didn’t match up, Heidle added.
As of press time Thursday all three were still in custody at the Roane County Jail.
