Calvary students tops in fine arts

Calvary Baptist School in Kingston had a number of students who won individual and group honors during the Tennessee Fine Arts Competition in Murfreesboro.


Students advanced to the state competition after winning first- and second-place honors during the District Fine Arts Competition in Powell.

State winners from Calvary Baptist School include:

First place

• Woodworking, Jordan Snow, first in district.

• Sacred Piano Duet, Emily Plemons and Courtney Snow, first in district.

• Classical Piano Duet, Courtney Snow and Emily Plemons, second in district.

• Digital Media, Lauren Treadway, first in district.

Second place

• Female Vocal Solo, Lauren Treadway, first in district.

• Senior High Large Vocal Ensemble, first place district.

Third place

• Still-life Photography, Lauren Treadway, first in district.

• English, Courtney Snow, fourth in district.

• Senior High Small Vocal Ensemble, first in district.
