Calvary students tops in fine arts

Lauren Treadway of Calvary Baptist School, Kingston, was recognized for her photography skills on a national level in a competition sponsored by the American Association of Christian Schools at Bob Jones University, Greenville, S.C.

Treadway won third place in the national contest in the senior high animal photography category.

She is among the Calvary Baptist School students who advanced to the national competition by winning first-place honors in March at the Tennessee Fine Arts Competition in Murfreesboro.

Students advanced to the state competition after winning first- and second-place honors during the District Fine Arts Competition in Powell.

State winners from Calvary Baptist School include:
