Candidate’s qualifications questioned

Questions have arisen concerning Dennis Ferguson’s qualifications to run for Roane County road superintendent.    

“I’ve never known Dennis to build a road,” Roane County Administrator of Elections Charles Holiway said. “Have you?”

The issue has also been raised by one of Ferguson’s opponents in the Aug. 2 election.

“There’s some big questions about it,” candidate Brian Mullins said.
