Abused and neglected children need support, and CASA trains volunteers to lend a hand.
CASA — or Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children — has volunteers from all walks of life.
Each volunteer takes a 30-hour training class that prepares them to advocate for children in the court system.
“We are looking for people who care about children and want to make a difference in their lives,” said Peggy Severance, CASA of the Ninth Judicial District program coordinator.
