Cherokee picks up road split

Mike Snow’s Cherokee Yellow Jackets basketball had some good news and bad news in taking on Athens and Sweetwater on Monday and Tuesday.

The good news came Monday as the Jackets traveled to Athens and downed the Cougars, 37-26.

The news wasn’t as good on Tuesday as Sweetwater defended their home court by knocking off Cherokee, 47-35.

Cherokee will be in action again on Monday when they travel to North Middle.
