• Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Kingston, will have a two-day children’s consignment sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the church’s activities building. The church is at 407 Old Johnston Valley Road.

• Lee Village Baptist Church, Harriman, will have a four-night March Gladness revival through March 6. Services begin at 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. weekdays. • Kingston First Baptist Church’s Young at Heart will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the church’s family life center at 215 N. Kentucky St. Wade Creswell of the Michael Dunn Center will present the program. Those attending are asked to bring soup, sandwiches or dessert for the meal following the program.

• Bethel Presbyterian Church, Kingston, will have classes in the church at 203 S. Kentucky St. Spanish for Kids will be taught at 5 p.m.; beginning Spanish and tai chi will follow at 6 with advanced Spanish and English as a Second Language classes starting at 6:30. Call 376-6340 for details.


• Harriman’s communitywide Wednesday Lenten season services will continue at noon in Harriman United Methodist Church at 601 Queen St. Father Harry Howard of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will lead worship; music will be furnished by Harriman United Methodist Church. A light complimentary lunch will be served by representatives of  St. Andrew’s. Donations accepted during Lenten services will go to the Harriman Ministerial Association’s aid to transients fund.


• Voice in the Wilderness Ministries, Rockwood, has a free “Walking in Health/Praying for the Sick” class at 7 p.m. each Thursday at the church at 201 W. Rockwood St., Rockwood. The class teaches the principles of biblical health and how to pray for the sick. Call 466-0553  for details.

• Rockwood First Presbyterian Church’s Women’s Association will have a two-day winter clearance rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the basement of the church at 429 W. Rockwood St. Proceeds will benefit church programs.

• Rockwood Church of Christ will have its spring gospel meeting through March 22 in the church at 129 S. Chamberlain Ave. Jim Pharr will be the guest speaker for Sunday Bible study at 10 a.m., Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m., and special services at 7 p.m. weekdays; a fellowship meal will follow the Sunday morning worship service.
