SATURDAY, MAY 4
• New Midway Baptist Church, Kingston, will have a free spring fling from 1 to 4 p.m. with food and games for all ages. A basketball game between the church’s youth and adults begins at 4:30 p.m. The church is at 240 New Midway Road.

• Emory Gap Independent Church of God, Harriman, will have a Founder’s Day and 50th anniversary service. The church is at 234 Morris Road.

MONDAY, MAY 6
• Kingston First Baptist Church’s Young at Heart will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the church’s family life center at 215 N. Kentucky St. Abby and Robert Rogers, houseparents of Oakdale Children’s Home, Big Emory Baptist Association, will present the program. Those attending should bring salads, sandwiches or desserts for the meal following the program.

• Voice in the Wilderness Ministries, Rockwood, has a free “Walking in Health/Praying for the Sick” class at 7 p.m. each Thursday at the church at 201 W. Rockwood St., Rockwood.
