Constable candidates to make pitch

Ray Murray’s 600 or so votes weren’t enough to get him elected when he ran for constable in 2006.

Now he’s hoping it’s enough get him appointed.

Murray hopes to convince the Roane County Commission to appoint him to the open seat in the 6th District.

“I think I’m the obvious choice,” Murray said.

That doesn’t mean he’s a shoo-in.
