Controversial former constable has wife arrested

A controversial former Roane County constable had his wife arrested Friday afternoon.

Janet Patton was taken to the Roane County Jail on accusations that she assaulted her husband, Mark Patton, at their Kingston home at Village Way.

Mark Patton was not arrested.

“He was left at the residence,” Kingston Police Chief Jim Washam said.
