Council releases land from city

Talks about annexation seems to be a common occurrence in Roane County, with each municipality hoping to gain more territory for future growth.

However, in Kingston recently, the talk focused on deannexation.

The request came from a property owner whose land was thought to be a part of the Center Farms subdivision at the time it was annexed.

The property is adjacent to the subdivision, according to city manager Jim Pinkerton.
