Crusaders top Seymour Christian School, 64-15

The Calvary Crusaders dominated Seymour Christian Community School (SCCS) in a late season match-up, 64-15.

Calvary’s Malachi Blake took the opening tip to the rim for the first score of the game. The Crusaders never slowed down in the first quarter with Zephaniah Blake, Malachi Blake and Paul Plemons scored.

Zephaniah Blake and Andrew Booth controlled the boards during the period and for the game. Booth ended the night with 10 rebounds with Blake adding nine.

The second quarter was a repeat of the first for the Crusaders on offense. Seth Stewart added a couple of buckets while Booth cranked it up in the paint, adding several key baskets inside.

The Blake brothers, along with Plemons and Parton also chipped in to make the score 38-4 at halftime.

The third and fourth quarters would see Calvary’s defense continue to crush the offensive threat from SCCS. The offense also continued to roll as Calvary cruised to the 49-point victory.

Calvary shot 50 percent from field for the game and every player scored with Malachi Blake (16 points), Booth (14 points) and Zephaniah Blake (11 points) all scoring in double figures.
