Death penalty may be off table for Houstons

Brothers Rocky and Leon Houston were in Roane County Criminal Court on Monday to be arraigned on murder charges. The proceeding had its usual outbursts from Rocky Houston, but it also brought some good news for him and his brother.

Special prosecutor Robert 'Gus' Radford has not filed a notice with the court of the state's intention to seek the death penalty.

"At this point, I have no notice of it having been filed," Judge James 'Buddy' Scott said Monday.
