Frances Dyer Barker

Frances Dyer Barker, 102, of Kingston, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007.

A Cookeville native, she had lived in Birmingham and Chattanooga before moving to Kingston in 1981. She was a member of Kingston First Baptist Church and was retired from Volunteer Life Insurance Co. A talented musician who played piano and organ, she began oil painting at age 75 and was active in art activities in Kingston and Knoxville. Her works were exhibited in numerous shows in East Tennessee. She was a former member of Knoxville Porcelain Painters.
