Anna Lou Davis

Anna Lou Davis, 68, of Coalfield, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

She was born June 7, 1939 in the Fork Mountain Community of New River. The family moved to Oliver Springs in 1955, and Anna Lou gradu-ated from Oliver Springs High School in 1959.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and the joy of her life was caring for and spending time with her family.

She was a member of the Family Worship Center in the Stevens Community and she attended the Clinton Church of God. She loved to sing in church and her favorite song was “Thank You Lord for Your Blessings On Me.”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Davis; son, Franklin David Davis; parents, James Morgan Sr. and Opal Stringer Morgan; and brother, Avery Morgan.

Survivors include daughter, Sonya Bunch and her husband Chris; three grandchildren, Sheena and Jack Price, Canaan Brady Bunch, and Chrissah BlakeLee Bunch, all of Coalfield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Ken Rains of Wartburg and Brenda and Wayne Gaylor of Oliver Springs; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Nancy Morgan Jr. of Oliver Springs, Billy David and Brenda Morgan of Kissimee, Fla., and Char-les Edward and Kathy Morgan of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends.

The family received friends Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. Services followed in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with Teresa Noe officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 900 E. Hill Ave., Suite 240, Knoxville, Tn 37915.
