Harriman officials try to set aside money every year for the demolition of abandoned, dilapidated homes.
This year the city voted to tear down three more: a burned-out structure at 706 Siluria St. and buildings at 516 Henderson St. and 104 Douglas Ave.
Building inspector Maria Nelson said the real success in the city cleanup effort is the increasing number of buildings owners themselves demolish.
