You might think that’s unique in the state of Tennessee.
You’d be thinking wrong.
According to the Tennessee Department of Revenue, three other municipalities fall into three counties.
They are Johnson City (Carter, Sullivan and Johnson counties) in northeast Tennessee; Milledgeville (Chester, Hardin and McNairy counties) in southwest Tennessee; and McKenzie (Carroll, Henry and Weakley counties) in northwest Tennessee.
