The U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge facilities public bus tour will end for the 2011 season on Sept. 2.
The tour includes interactive stops at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Y-12 National Security Complex and East Tennessee Technology Park. Historical commentary on the transformation of the Oak Ridge Reservation during the past 65 years is provided.
The reservation-wide tour continues to appeal to visitors from all 50 states.
Since its inception in 1996, the DOE public tour program has enjoyed widespread success and more than 25,000 visitors.
