COALFIELD — Wartburg went from underdogs to district champs in just a little over 24 hours. Faced against Oliver Springs in an elimination game last Thursday evening in rainy, sloppy playing conditions, the Bulldogs ended the season for the Bobcats in a 10-5 win. Wartburg then handed top-seed Coalfield a pair of losses on Friday to capture the program’s first-ever district championship in baseball.
