Early-voting period to end Thursday, Nov. 1

Voters in Roane County continue to show their support for the flexibility and convenience of early voting.
Through the first seven days of early voting period, 6,413 of voters have cast their ballots.
“Roane County voters are making it clear they want their voices to be heard in this election,” said Administrator of Elections Charles Holiway. “We are hopeful that even more voters will decide to take advantage of early voting over the next several days.”
The early voting period will continue through Thursday, Nov. 1. Roane County has four early voting sites:
• The Community Center in Harriman on Tennessee Avenue.
• The Roane County Courthouse, 200 Race St., in Kingston.
• First Christian Church at 100 Gum Hollow Road in Oak Ridge.
• Rockwood Community Center at 710 Chamberlain Ave.
Each of these sites is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Contact the Roane County Election Office at 376-3184 for more information.
