Jay Jiles
Jay Jiles, 91, of Rockwood, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from the city of Rockwood.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia.
Survivors include daughter, Margaret Reid of Rockwood; stepsons, Billy Stinnett of Rockwood and Charles Stinnett of Birmingham, Mich.; grandchildren, Jennifer Mitchell of Knoxville, Mitchell Reid and Sarah Reid, both of Rockwood; sister and brother-in-law, Nell and the Rev. Bill Treadway of Rockwood; brothers, Sam Jiles of Rockwood and Charles Jiles of Harriman.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 29, in the chapel with Lewis Capps officiating. Graveside service, with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard, and burial will be at Glen Alice Cemetery, Rockwood.
