Fishing Rodeo this weekend

Lots of prizes and family fun are on tap for the 22nd annual Dennis Ferguson Fishing Rodeo this weekend.

Registration for the event starts at 8 a.m. Aug. 4 at Roane County Park, with fishing to begin at 9. All bait will be furnished.

This year’s grand prize is a 14-foot boat and troll motor, courtesy of Bunch Marine of Midtown. Another $3,000 in gift cards will be awarded, including four top prizes of gift cards worth $250 each.
