Former Rhea firefighter charged with setting Rockwood house fires

A former Rhea County firefighter has been charged with setting two fires on Monday night in homes on South Wilder Avenue in Rockwood.

Michael Stricklan was arrested by state arson and bomb investigators on Wednesday night.

According to Wendel Frost, special agent in charge of the Knoxville area bomb unit, warrants were issued for Stricklan and he was arrested for arson and aggravated arson.
