East Tennessee Foundation celebrates 25 years of thoughtful giving – Neighbors Caring for Neighbors — in 2011.
The foundation plans to mark the occasion and to demonstrate what it does in the 25-county service area that includes Roane County, by awarding 25 special grants to nonprofit agencies.
One nonprofit agency in each of the 25 counties will be selected to receive a $2,500 grant.
In addition, a $25,000 foundation recognition endowment will be awarded to a nonprofit within the service area.
Grantmaking will begin mid-June and continue in a “rollout” fashion through mid-October, thus allowing foundation staff to hand-deliver the awards to each nonprofit organization.
East Tennessee Foundation welcomes residents in each county to call to members’ attention to nonprofit organizations that are doing especially valuable and needed service in their communities.
Suggestions can be made by visiting www.easttennesseefoundation.org/contact_us.html.
Suggestions may also sent via email to email@example.com or by calling toll free 1-877-524-1223.
Nonprofits that are suggested will be listed in the appropriate county on the clickable map on the foundation’s website.
The overall objective of East Tennessee Foundation’s 25th anniversary celebration is to bring greater awareness and understanding throughout East Tennessee of how foundation serves the region and how each person in the service area can have a relationship with the foundation.
