Four airlifted from Rockwood wreck

An automobile accident Monday had Rockwood beach looking more like a busy helicopter landing zone.

Four people were airlifted to the hospital following a single-car accident on New Hope Road between 8 and 8:30 p.m.

Officials say two men and two women were airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center by three different helicopters at nearby Rockwood Beach.
