At sixteen, most teenagers are just worried about getting their drivers license. Sammy Jo Garrett isn’t the typical 16-year old.

The Wartburg softball star signed to play softball at Lincoln Memorial University during a ceremony at Hillside Cafe in Wartburg last Thursday evening.

Graduating at Christmas, Garrett will forego her senior season in softball and begin her college career in January at the Division II School in Harrogate, Tennessee.
