The Roane County Chamber of Commerce’s fifth annual Home and Garden Show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 26 in Roane State Expo Center.
The date will give vendors more time to get their 2011 ideas and products out earlier than in the past shows.
The indoors venue will give all who attend a “weather-proof” outing to see the many offerings at the show.
“We wanted to take advantage of the indoor arena and also give everyone an earlier start this year,” said Darrell Williams of the Chamber. “This way, we can add more gardening and landscaping vendors before they get too busy with the upcoming spring season.”
Many vendors are anticipated this year.
This year’s show will have hourly workshops provided by members of the Master Gardeners Club of Roane County.
There will also be a classic car display, musical entertainment and children’s attractions such as a petting zoo and face painting.
Last year’s attendance of more than 2,500 has risen expectations of at least as many or more for this year’s event.
To register for vendor booths, call Home and Garden Show Chairwoman Jenny Tippens at 376-6065, or Williams or Tami Wright at the Chamber at 376-5572.
