Goldston leads Lady Devils past Greenback

Harriman sophomore Haley Goldston had a game to remember Tuesday in a district win over Greenback. Goldston pitched a gem, allowing only one hit  and one walk while striking out 13 in leading the Lady Devils to a 5-0 victory over the Lady Cherokees.

The game was never in question as Goldston led off the game for the Lady Devils with a leadoff single, and later scored off an RBI single by Ivory Peddicord. 

Harriman struck again in the bottom half of the fourth as Laci Sells drove in Kaitlin Abston. Abston walked to start the inning. 

The Lady Devils added two more insurance runs in the fifth as Dee Boyd drove in Goldston with an RBI double and Peddicord earned another RBI driving in Boyd. Goldston started the inning by reaching on an error.

Harriman finished their scoring in the sixth off an RBI from the bat of Jada Gallaher scoring Chelsea Langley. Langley doubled to start the inning.

 Boyd (4-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 run) and Peddicord (2-4, 1 RBI led the offense.
