Grace Church helps in war against methamphetamine

-A A +A

Grace Community Church, Kingston, is teaming up with the Roane County Sheriff’s Office to fight the increase of methamphetamine lab activity.

Pastor Paul Lloyd, center right, represents the church in providing bottles of water to the sheriff’s office.

The gift is accepted by, from left, Deputy Mark Steinmann, Sheriff Jack Stockton and Deputy John Mayes.

Grace Community Church is at 438 W. Race St.

Steinmann, the office’s meth supervisor, said the community reaching out to law enforcement is a key to the success of targeting meth, other drugs and narcotics in the county.

He urges the public to call the sheriff’s office with any suspected drug traffic.

Callers can remain anonymous by calling the drug tip line at 717-4217.

The public can also contact the Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force with meth tips at 877-TNN-METH
