A Rhea County man with Roane County connections was sentenced to 15 years on Friday in the Aug. 18, 2007, shooting death of his wife, Dorothy Hampton.
Daniel Glenn Hampton, 37, who once lived in the Emory Heights community, entered a guilty plea to the second-degree murder charge on April 27, said assistant district attorney Jim Pope in Rhea County.
He is already facing at least 20 years of a federal sentence for multiple federal charges involving drugs and firearms.
