Harriman’s Monroe top MMC employee in March

Melanie Monroe has been named March’s MMCer of the Month at Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.
Monroe is a certified nursing assistant who works with patients in the hospital’s flex pool.
“She is a hard worker and tries to put the patient’s needs first,” said Carolyn Shipley, director of Acute Care Services.
Monroe assists patients, family members and visitors with their needs and is responsible for taking and recording patients’ vital signs, assisting with meals, bathing and transportation.
