Harriman gas policies OK

-A A +A

Harriman Utility Board recently received notification from the Tennessee Regulatory Authority  Gas Pipeline Safety Division that the agency has completed an inspection of Harriman’s gas department’s policy and procedures, and no violations were found.

TRA scrutinized files that included plans for management integrity, identification of any threats to the integrity of the pipelines, assessing the risks to the system and implementation of plans to address those threats and the maintenance of records documenting leak repairs and corrosion control.

Comments contained in the inspection report revealed that past reports showed no open violations or any repetitive deficiencies.

“We are very conscientious and strive to do the best job we can,” said HUB General Manager Bill Young.

“That particular department, lead by Frankie Davis, manager of gas, water, and sewer operations, has done a wonderful job in making sure our customers are getting the best service and are in compliance with the codes,” Young continued.

HUB is required to have regular inspections performed by the TRA to insure they are in compliance with Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Transportation of Natural and Other Gas by Pipeline Safety standards.
