Last Sunday, Carolyn Griffin, Jill Johnson, Julia Harris, Alicia Harris and I joined the Rev. Tony Cannon and his church family at River View Baptist Church in Lenoir City to see an Easter play.

This play was based on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Children, adults and three men from New Covenant Baptist Church in Knoxville took part in this play. Music was provided by the choir. This was a great play, and all enjoyed it.

The FCE Club met Wednesday in the Community Center in Kingston with 14 members present.

The president called the meeting to order, and business was taken
care of. The 24th of this month
the FCE Clubs will have recognition day.

Cultural arts, fashion review, Pennies for Pages and Tea Cup auction will be a part of this recognition day. All of this will be in Kingston Community Center. Visitors are welcome.

We would love to have new members. Our president is Jo Ann Silvis. We meet the first Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. Please join us.

Family members of Glenn and Virginia Jo Hickman, Julia Harris, Sheila Hall, Jackie and Pearl Moore all came home for Easter to be with their families.

Some were from Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville.

They all worshiped at St. Mary’s Baptist Church at the 11 a.m. service Sunday.

Happy belated birthday to Julia McCown, March 27; Wanda Richards, April 14; and her aunt Opal Gamble, who will be 93 years old. Hope all of you had a great day. Be blessed.

Happy birthday to my friend Arvine Buttram, who will celebrate the 28th of this month.

The Phillipses celebrated 18 years. Edward and Marlene Phillips celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary Monday, April 1. They were married April 1, 1995, in Bazeltown Baptist Church by the Rev. Alvin Douglass.

They had dinner at Ruby Tuesday hosted by their children. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.

Congratulations to the lovely couple.
