Saturday, Aug. 4, Oak Grove Baptist Church celebrated its annual choir anniversary. Curtis Anderson was master of ceremony.

Six great choirs provided the music for this service, and Evangelist Dorothy Mitchell was guest soloist.

All sang from their hearts and all who attended were truly blessed. This is where Paul Taylor is pastor.

We pray that your choir will continue to sing praises in songs to God.

Anointed Praise and Worship Church had its church anniversary Sunday, Aug. 5. The pastor, the Rev. Alvin Douglass, was the morning speaker. After this service lunch was served.

River View Baptist Church from Lenoir City was in charge of the 3 p.m. service. This great choir provided the music.

The message was given by the Rev. Anthony Cannon. He is a great preacher and a wonderful family man.

This was a great day for the Anointed Praise and Worship church family.

Happy birthday wishes to Lucille Gordon and Pearl Gallaher. Both ladies are members of St. Mary's Baptist Church. We sang the birthday song, had prayer, and presented a gift to both ladies.

This past weekend, Spencer and Judy Anderson spent time in Hamilton, Ohio. Judy has a brother who lives there, and he is very ill. They were there to spend time with him.

Her brother was so happy to see them, so let's keep him in our prayers that he will be made whole.

Ruby Jean Boyd's son, Gary, and his wife from Washington, D.C., came home to spend part of their vacation with her. Jean says she is really blessed how her sons take time out to come home to spend time with her.

Her others sons are Alvin and Charles. They all love her and are always there for her.

Aug. 19 Phillippi Baptist Church will celebrate the pastoral anniversary of Elder Corbett. The Rev. Alvin Douglass and Anointed Praise and Worship will be there for the 3 p.m. service. All are welcome.

On Aug. 19, the Douglass Singers will be in full concert at Sweetwater First Baptist Church at 4 p.m.

They welcome all who can to travel with them for this concert.
