Straten and Brian Cooley, sons of Imogene Cooley, drove from Accokeek, Mass., to Knoxville to spend some time with their uncle, Amon Reed and family.
Amon is on the sick list. Keep him in your prayers; he is a former resident of Harriman, son of the late Amon and Vatis Reed.
James Miles spent a few days in Dover, Del., visiting family and friends.
At the time of this writing, Pauline Richerson had surgery at Oak Ridge’s Methodist Medical Center. We wish you a speedy recovery, Pauline.
Gloria Ward is a missionary at Cedine Bible Camp, and she works very hard on her job.
Some of her friends were going on a seven-day cruise, and they gave Gloria an all-paid trip with them on this cruise.
Gloria was blessed and really enjoyed herself on the Carnival ship.
There was a lot to see and do those seven days. It’s all because of having such loving and caring friends.
Margie Moore, a very special friend of mine, celebrated her birthday the Dec. 20. May you be blessed with many more.
My nephew, Jerome Anderson, celebrated his birthday last week. Happy birthday, Jerome; may you be blessed with many more years of life.
To Sonya Eskridge, Mykiah Eskridge, Marlene Phillips, Peggy Cozart, Dorothy Moore and Tee Ray: As you celebrate your birthday, I wish each of you God’s blessings.
I extend the deepest sympathy to the family of Sonya Graves Gevinn, who passed away Dec. 10 in Knoxville. She was the daughter of Donald and the late Mary Graves.
She retired from the Knox County School system. Due to the close friendship of her parents, she and her siblings call me Aunt Louise, so Sonya was my niece. She was a beautiful person and will be greatly missed.
