The Rev. Alvin Douglass was the guest speaker for the senior saints at Little Leaf Baptist Church in Oliver Springs.
Twelve members were present, and all enjoyed his message. Afterward, they enjoyed a light lunch. This is where Elder Dews is pastor.
Get-well wishes to Helen Roddy, who recently had eye surgery.
Permelia Anderson spent two weeks in Stone Mountain, Ga., visiting her daughter, Pam Wright and her granddaughter, Stephanie Wright.
Mil really enjoyed her visit with her children. Her daughter, Chris, from California is spending most of her summer vacation here with her mother and all family members. She also has her little niece from Kentucky visiting with her.
The wife of Pastor Larry Taylor is very ill and in a hospital in Atlanta. Larry is the son of the late Dan and Nancy Taylor.
Remember, prayer changes things, so lets remember her in our prayers.
Marvin and Anna Anderson from Knoxville spent last Monday with me. Marvin is my son.
Happy birthday to Barbara Johnson, who celebrated her day Saturday, July 13.
Members of St. Mary’s Baptist Church who will be celebrating their birthdays in July include Jesse Wiliams Jr., Curtis Anderson, Virginia Jo Childress and Kyra Silier.

Jill Johnson celebrated her birthday Sunday, July 14. She is the wife of Keith Johnson.
To celebrate her day, he took her out for a special dinner.
