St. Mary’s Baptist Church was guest church of Williams Chapel Church in Emory Gap for the pastor, the Rev. Smith’s anniversary.
Pastor Jesse L. Williams delivered the Word. Music was provided by the Gospel Chorus on this special day, Oct. 2.
What a Word Pastor Williams delivered.
This was a great service.
The Roane County community chorus gave a full concert at Mount Olive Baptist Church Saturday, Oct. 6, in Lenoir City.
Mary Alice Douglass is president of this great group of singers.
Margie Moore is director, and Mary Hickey is accompanist.
All are welcome.
Our sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Tyesha Shantell Pankey, who passed away Sept. 26.
She was the daughter of Christine and the late O.D. Pankey.
She was a member of Believers Voice of Deliverance Church.
Pastor Alvin Douglass officiated, and Pastor James Springs gave the eulogy.
Interment was at Roane Memorial Gardens.
A fond birthday wish to all the following people who are celebrating their birthday this month and part of September:  Jimmy Anderson 29th; Dichelle Love, Oct. 1; Zay Ewing 28th; LeRoy Ray 28th; Jada Gallaher 9th; Cheryl Childress 11th; Felicia Moore, 12th; and belated birthday wishes to my nephew Kai Jamies-on at the end of September.

On Thursday, Oct. 4, Rickey Taylor went to be with the Lord in a hospital in Atlanta after a brief illness.
Rickey is the son of Dan and Pat Taylor.
Arrangements have not been made at the time of this writing.
