New and familiar faces will be taking seats on the Harriman Utility Board this summer.
While it isn’t July yet, Harriman City Council went ahead and approved two appointments to the board.
Roane State President Gary Goff, who is the board chair, will be stepping off the board in July. He will be replaced by Chris Whaley, vice president of student learning at Roane State.
Whaley, who lives in the Cornstalk Heights community of Harriman, was recommended by Goff, said Harriman Mayor Chris Mason.
Returning to the board is council member Buddy Holley.
Normally, as top vote-getter in June’s election , Ken Mynatt would go on the board, but he agreed to forfeit that spot and the council approved Holley’s reappointment.
Also approved was the reappointment of Angie Skidmore as city clerk.
