Oak Ridge Library will have an Affordable Care Act event this weekend to help people enroll in the new Exchanges and offer information on health-care reform.
The session will be from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the library auditorium at 1401 Oak Ridge Turnpike.
Volunteers will be available to provide information enrollment assistance for those interested in signing up for health insurance under the new Exchanges. A Spanish translator will also be available.
Individual computer stations will be available, and volunteers will be on hand to assist as needed.
The official website for enrollment, www.healthcare.gov, also contains detailed information about the new laws, costs and benefits.
Those interested in enrolling should bring Social Security numbers for themselves and any family members who may be enrolling, as well as income and tax information and details of employer-sponsored insurance options, if any.
It would also be helpful if attendees already have email accounts, but email assistance will be provided if needed.
This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.
For more information about the program, call the library at 865-425-3455 or email CircLib@oakridgetn.gov.
