COALFIELD - Coalfield’s 10-year anniversary of their state championship in baseball could be special. The Jackets (1-2) took a big step in proving they should be considered one of the top Class A teams in East Tennessee after a convincing 15-5 six-inning win over Rockwood last Tuesday.
The Tigers (4-1) were only run-ruled one time all last season and that was a 14-3 loss to state runnerup Jackson Christian.
