Jail recertified by corrections board

The Tennessee Corrections Institute Board of Control has recertified the Roane County Jail.
Sheriff Jack Stockton said the designation — which was awarded in March —  was the result of a team effort.
“We’re pleased that we’re running at and above minimum guidelines that the state sets forth,” he said. “I commend my employees for a job well done.”
Joe Ferguson, a detention facility specialist for TCI, inspected the Roane County Jail in February.
