John Calvin Henry, 34, of Kingston, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Tennova Healthcare Turkey Creek Medical Center.
He was born on June 9, 1977, Knoxville, the beloved son of Jim Henry and Patricia Arp Henry. “John touched many lives far beyond what could be imagined. We will miss him dearly. A void is created in our family that time will never fill.”
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Ira “Scoby” Henry.
Survivors include a sister, Liesa M. Henry, Harriman; a brother, James M. Henry Jr., Kingston; and two grandmothers, Millie Harvey and Lorene Henry, Kingston.
Special people in his life included Kimberly Hensley, David Wombles, Gina Moore, Jessica Hicks, Danette Wombles and Sarah Sands from OmniVisions, who provided wonderful love and care for him.
The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, in Kingston First Baptist Church. The funeral followed at 8 p.m., with Dr. Sonny Works officiating. Burial was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Kingston Memorial Gardens. Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston, was charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Henry Center (The John Henry Building), c/o Michael Dunn Center, 629 Gallaher Road, Kingston, TN 37763.
